The Quintette project (100% Teck) is located in northeast British Columbia, approximately 20 kilometres south of the town of Tumbler Ridge. Quintette had previously operated for a period of nearly 18 years up until 2000. In June 2010 we initiated a feasibility study to re-open Quintette, which was completed in the third quarter of 2012. We submitted our Mines Act Permit Amendment application for Quintette in 2012 and received permit approval in June 2013. We have deferred development and placed the mine on care and maintenance and will not start development until we see a sustained improvement in demand for steelmaking coal.
